Most deed polls are quite easy to complete on your own. You will find free deed poll templates online. There are many online deed poll services that charge around £20 for a more fancy version with nice paper and logos. You can also use a solicitor or notary to prepare one, but this may cost you £100 upwards.

We do not provide any advice on completing deed polls. You can use this Deed of Change of Name, if it is suitable for your needs.

Unfortunately, we need to see the original deed poll. Our solicitor will make a copy and we will add the apostille to the copy.

Yes, a deed poll can be included in a set of documents for one person under one apostille. However, we normally recommend a deed poll has it’s own apostille added. Please check what is required for your circumstances.

A deed poll is normally issued with a paper version apostille on a copy of the certificate. We need to see the original deed poll, at which point our solicitor will prepare a paper copy with the paper apostille.

There is no way to verify a deed poll that is sent to us as a PDF so we need to see the original certificate. If you want an e-apostille it can be done. We check the original document and arrange for a PDF copy to be made. A digital PDF version of this document will be electronically certified by our solicitor and we can then also obtain the electronic Apostille from the FCDO.
