Christmas and New Year Processing Times

Christmas is approaching and another year is coming to a close. For many, this time is a period of relaxation but this can be a busy time of year for some as preparations for the New Year are undertaken. Each year we often find some of the most urgent orders are received during this period and we strive to maintain our efficient service wherever possible.

Below you will find everything you need to know about our processing times over the festive period.

Apostille Service

Whilst we cannot guarantee processing times, we expect the vast majority of Apostille orders received on or before Tuesday 20 December 2016 will be completed and dispatched before Christmas. Delays can occur when verifying documents due to closures elsewhere (government offices, registrar offices, solicitors etc.). Orders received after this point will be expected to completed in the New Year.

Embassy Attestation Service

Over the holiday period many embassies will be closed or working reduced hours. This can lead to a backlog of documents to be attested at the embassy which, in turn, can delay our usual processing times. If you require documents to be attested for a specific embassy please get in touch for an estimated time scale. We will aim to complete orders received before 14 December before we Christmas. However, all processing times with embassies depend on the type of document and the embassy in question.

Delays over Christmas

Please bear in mind that many government offices, businesses and solicitors firms will be closed over this period which does make it difficult to verify signatures on documents when necessary. This is understandably outside of our control, nevertheless you can rest assured that we will keep you informed of any delays we experience.
